The Odhanon team together in our studio

The people behind Odhanon

The hands behind every piece

Odhanon is made by a team, not a factory line. Our artisans, tailors, finishers and the people who pack your order work side by side in our own studio, and every piece you wear passes through their hands.

Inside our studio

From block to your doorstep

Every piece starts as cotton hand block printed by our artisans, in the Sanganeri handprint tradition. From there it passes through the same careful hands in our studio, from the first sketch to the moment it is sealed for you.

  1. Odhanon co-founder Prithvi Ujjwal in the studio among block printed fabrics

    Designed in-house

Every style starts in our own studio, from the first sketch to the choice of print.

  2. Drafting a paper pattern with a ruler and measuring tape in the Odhanon studio

    Pattern making

Each design is drafted into paper patterns and graded across sizes before any fabric is cut.

  3. Hand block printed cotton being cut to pattern in the Odhanon studio

    Cutting

Our block printed cotton is laid out and cut to those patterns, so every panel lines up.

  4. Odhanon tailor checking a gathered block printed dress at his sewing machine

    Stitching

Our tailors stitch every piece here in the studio, seam by seam.

  5. A block printed panel being pressed with a steam iron in the Odhanon studio

    Finishing

Each piece is finished, pressed and checked for print, fit and seams before it moves on.

  6. A tissue-wrapped Odhanon parcel with a thank-you card and a matching scrunchie

    Packing

Wrapped in our printed tissue with a handwritten thank-you note, and sent your way.

No two pieces are exactly alike. Small variations in colour and print are the mark of the human hand.

Who We Are

Odhanon started in 2023 with one idea: give Indian hand block prints a modern, western voice.

It began with block printed scrunchies, and we soon saw a gap. Hand block prints were mostly kept for ethnic wear, yet they belonged in structured dresses, sharp co-ords and everyday pieces too.

Founders Vaishali Sahu and Prithvi Ujjwal, both from NIFT with backgrounds in fashion design and merchandising, built Odhanon to have its own identity rather than chase trends.

What We Make

Our silhouettes are relaxed and sharply defined at once, because a wardrobe needs to hold more than one mood.

We work mostly with 100% cotton for its breathability and choose hand block printed fabric for its character. Small irregularities are the mark of the human hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

From pocket depth to corset firmness and seam finishes, every detail is considered, because that is what decides how a piece feels after hours of wear.

For she who blooms in style

Our Mission & Vision

We design for every phase of a woman's life, for the woman who chooses with intention, whatever her age or role. Our aim is clothing that lets you express yourself without giving up comfort, where structure meets ease. We want to take Indian prints beyond occasion wear and into everyday pieces that are made responsibly and built to last, while we keep growing our sizes, silhouettes, prints and fabrics, one considered step at a time.
